Alcoholics Anonymous is an international mutual aid fellowship founded in 1935 by Bill Wilson and Dr. Bob Smith in Akron, Ohio. AA's stated "primary purpose" is to help alcoholics "stay sober and help other alcoholics achieve sobriety".

Nonprofit fellowship or society of men and women for whom drugs had become a major problem.

An American, Christ-based approach to recovery that is aimed at all "hurts, habits, and hang-ups", including but not exclusive to: high anxiety; co-dependency; compulsive behaviors; sex addiction; financial dysfunction; drug and alcohol addictions; and eating disorders.

A worldwide fellowship that offers a program of recovery for the families and friends of alcoholics, whether or not the alcoholic recognizes the existence of a drinking problem or seeks help.

The main purpose of the group is to educate and bring awareness of addiction as a disease, rather than the stigma that is suffered in shame by the person with the disease and their loved ones. Attack Addiction seeks to educate by speaking at schools, prisons and any other venues where there is an interest in learning more about the disease of addiction.

West End provides assistance through outcomes-driven programming, utilizing innovative solutions to resolve complex social challenges throughout Delaware.
